Celebrate Canada Day and Annoy People Everywhere

Image
Canada Day is a holiday to celebrate living in Canada, and to celebrate the country in general. But, no one said you couldn't have a little fun and celebrate at the same time. So, if you know someone who's not too fond of celebrating Canada, or you just don't like them, follow these tips and have an awesome Canada Day! 1. Say "eh?" at the end of every sentence. Example: "I like your shirt, eh? Where did you get it, eh? Can I touch it, eh? No, I don think the fact that I want to touch your shirt is creepy, eh?" 2. Wear red and white, but also wear a flag as a cape, or something that has a Canada print on it. Then run around saying, "I am Super Canada Man/Woman! I have the ability to withstand cold temperatures, drink high quantities of alcohol, and devour beaver tails!" 3. Spell Canada as C-a-n-a-d-eh? You don't necessarily have to wait for someone to ask you how to spell it either. You can just run around spelling it whenever you l

Strength

Fear is a funny thing. It creeps up when least expected. Debilitating, makes us vulnerable. Makes the toughest person call for mother. Fear is weakness. Fear is bad. Fear hurts us. Is what we are told to believe. Fear, should be avoided. It is not what you want. But fear reminds us. It reminds us of what we have to lose. Shows us what we have to fight for. Fear is strength. Fear is caring about someone other than yourself. Fear can kill you, or it can build you up, give you the strength you need. What does fear do for you?

6 Signs You're Obsessed

Image
Obsession. We all know how we can get about things, or people, sometimes. Sometimes we just go a little crazy for something. So if you're not sure if your're obsessed, take a look at these warning signs. However, if you're truly obsessed, I can't guarantee you'll recognize them. 1. If it's a person you're obsessed with, you stalk their online presence, and sometimes real life presence, everywhere. Before, if you weren't near a person, you couldn't stalk them, but thanks to the invention of the internet, you can stalk people without ever leaving your home! If you constantly look at this person's twitter, Facebook, and even check to see if they have Myspace (who still uses Myspace?), then chances are you're obsessed! 2. If it's a thing you're obsessed with, like gnomes, you carry it around with you everywhere. Do you have a "good luck charm" that you carry with you everywhere? Come on, we all know that thing hasn't b

How To Exercise Without Noticing It

Image
We all want to be healthy and look our best, but sometimes it is hard to find the time or the motivation to exercise. Sometimes, you just don't want to do it. But do not fear my friends, for there are magical ways to exercise without realizing you are exercising! 1. Walk, instead of taking the car. Today, people rely heavily on their cars, even for short distances. But if you walk instead, it will only be a little bit longer and you'll get some exercise in. Yes, you will probably realize that you are exercising, but you can trick yourself into thinking you're not if it's a nice day out, and you think to yourself: what a lovely day! Wouldn't it be magical to be outside? Eventually you will become used to walking and will go outside even if it's raining, and go for longer walks. This can be a good way to introduce exercise into your life style if you're not used to exercising at all. 2. Take a different, slightly longer path to wherever you're going. T

A Vicious Cycle

Anger, hurt, pain, spite, revenge. Crushing us, clinging to us, stuck like a cancerous poison. Growing it, feeding it, larger and larger. Weighing us down. More hate, more revenge, more pain. Must break the cycle. Break free, have hope. Forgiveness, mercy, understanding, compassion, love. Have you stopped the cycle?

How To Honor Your Father On Father's Day

Image
Fathers are important to children. They make you feel happy when you're sad. They drive you places. They give you money, and they hold a gun to any guy you bring home so you'll never be married until they die. That is, if they don't haunt you from the dead. But that's okay, because they love you and you love them. So lets look at how you can pay them back. Hint: take this post with a grain of salt. A large grain of salt. 1. Get them up bright and early at four am. Fathers should get to sleep in on Father's Day? Who told you that? You'd be wasting perfectly good compulsory time spent together. In fact, why not get them up at three am! 2. Make them a breakfast of champions. Eggs, bacon, and toast? No! That stuff is filled with heart clogging goodness. You want your dad to be around for a long time. Make them an egg white omelet with nothing else, three leaves of spinach for a salad (no fatty-fat dressing), and a protein shake made with lots of green leafy ve

The Fear Of Death

Image
What is Death, really? What happens when we die? Where do we go? I have no clue, but I do find the subject of death fascinating. But many people don't. Many people fear death, some to the point that it interferes with their life. I was close to being one of those people. Mainly I was afraid of dying in my sleep. Then ironically I began considering suicide later (though not seriously), and I think it was mainly due to the fact that I became at peace with death. So if you are depressed you may not want to read this post, and may want to read this post  instead. But if you are just afraid of death and want to stop letting it control you, then you may find what I have to say intriguing. I also want to make note that I am in no way qualified to help with serious mental conditions, but reading this may give you a better understanding of death. Why are people afraid of death? Because they don't know what is on the other side. Religious people will say it is God, some will say it is

Fear

Image
So this is a poem I wrote when I was upset. For whatever reason I don't remember much about the time I wrote it, but reading it over I decided I like it and I think it can be applied to a lot of different situations. Hope you enjoy it! Fear Why is my heart beating so hard? Maybe because it knows I'm to die. How did I get here? To this situation? How did it happen? How did it occur? How did you get to yours? I to mine? The same way, hard work and determination. But something went wrong. I may not have much breath left, but breath it all I shall. I will not go out, without, without, without. You may never here this, may never see it, but I know in my heart, you will feel it. It? The thing that is there, that is always with you, unique to you and no other, but remains a mystery. Have you ever written a poem and forgot about it, only to find it later and like it but not understand entirely what you meant by it?

8 Things That Annoy Me

Image
It's good to be positive and understanding. But sometimes there are things that really annoy or just confuse people. I bet you have a list of things that annoy you, I sure do, and I'm going to share it with you. Lucky you! 1.  Food Apps. Why are there so many apps about food? I kind of get the ones that are actually a puzzle game and you do something. But why are there so many where you make a specific type of food? It just makes people hungry. No wonder people eat all the time when it's shoved in front of their faces. 2. Selling Twitter followers. I don't know if these people got the memo, but slavery is over. You can't own people, so why do people sell twitter followers? Even if you buy them do you think they will actually listen to what you tweet? Is it really all about the number? 3. Type 2 diabetics who complain about diabetes, or are hoping for a cure the way type 1 diabetics are. Yes. I want a cure to diabetes. But if you're type 2 you alread

Tips For Enjoying Life

Image
Life is short. Or long. Depending on your outlook and how long you've been alive. But one thing everyone can agree on is they want to enjoy life, and not merely stay alive until they're the last of their friends to croak. And thus, I present to you some tips which I have learned from various sources, on how to enjoy life. Enjoy ;) Tip #1 Be Nice I know, ever since you were a little kid your parents or some other adult told you to "play nice". Whether or not you listened is debatable, but there is some truth in what they were saying. I want you to stop for a moment and think about what the world would be like if everyone was nice to each other. How would the world be different? Would you help people who needed it, even if it was out of your way? Would people be more trusting of people instead of thinking they're going to get ripped off somehow? I understand that you can't be nice all the time, but what you can do is make it a point to try to be nice more
