Strength

Fear is a funny thing. It creeps up when least expected. Debilitating, makes us vulnerable. Makes the toughest person call for mother. Fear is weakness. Fear is bad. Fear hurts us. Is what we are told to believe. Fear, should be avoided. It is not what you want. But fear reminds us. It reminds us of what we have to lose. Shows us what we have to fight for. Fear is strength. Fear is caring about someone other than yourself. Fear can kill you, or it can build you up, give you the strength you need. What does fear do for you?

A Vicious Cycle

Anger, hurt, pain, spite, revenge. Crushing us, clinging to us, stuck like a cancerous poison. Growing it, feeding it, larger and larger. Weighing us down. More hate, more revenge, more pain. Must break the cycle. Break free, have hope. Forgiveness, mercy, understanding, compassion, love. Have you stopped the cycle?

Fear

So this is a poem I wrote when I was upset. For whatever reason I don't remember much about the time I wrote it, but reading it over I decided I like it and I think it can be applied to a lot of different situations. Hope you enjoy it! Fear Why is my heart beating so hard? Maybe because it knows I'm to die. How did I get here? To this situation? How did it happen? How did it occur? How did you get to yours? I to mine? The same way, hard work and determination. But something went wrong. I may not have much breath left, but breath it all I shall. I will not go out, without, without, without. You may never here this, may never see it, but I know in my heart, you will feel it. It? The thing that is there, that is always with you, unique to you and no other, but remains a mystery. Have you ever written a poem and forgot about it, only to find it later and like it but not understand entirely what you meant by it?

Time

Hello everyone! So I find that society can often be obsessed with time. Be it the current time, the time left, or any varient involving time. So here is what I think in poem form: Time Time, time, time, time. It's always on our minds. Time is of the essence, time is money. But what does it mean? Why does it matter? We scheduled the very core of our existence down to the nanosecond. Plan when we eat, and sleep, we carry day planners, PDAs, a watch of some form, always wanting to know the current time, how long we've been, how long to the next thing? Does it consume us? Yes. Take up our time? Yes. Matter? No. Time is always there. We try to control it, but it is free. It does what it wants. Enjoy time, love time, time is your friend, not the enemy. I hope you all took the time to enjoy my poem, and I know if you're reading this you did. Good Job! Take a little time to share and comment, would ya? :)

The Straight and Narrow

Hi everyone. So I've gotten tired of doing weird guides and wanted to do a poem instead. So here's what I came up with. I hope you enjoy it! :) Tell your friends where you found it! The Straight and Narrow White is all I see. Blue lines run run run, horizontal. Angry red line. Perfectly vertical. Not a spec of disorder. Words running down. Scrawling on the page, what is this poem? I dare say? Life is on the straight and narrow. You must do this, must do that. Like a chicken in the mouth of a wolf. Rebel, the chicken hears, and go your own way. The chicken bites the nose of the wolf, and flies away.

Love and Money

Image
Hey everyone! So I've been thinking a lot about love and money lately. So here's a little poem I wrote. Enjoy! Photo by Emily Howitt Love,  makes us happy, fills our hearts with joy, makes the world go round. Money, is used as a supplement, with little to no effect, and fades quickly. But I just got my new shiny toy???  But it will fade, break down lose the glimmer.... and what do you have? An empty hole. Now, don't get me wrong. Money can help in a lot of ways and is nice to have. I just think that people need to take time to remember the things that are free in life that are essential for happiness, like love, family, or taking your dog  for a walk...you get the picture.  Enjoy the rest of your day, and tell me what you think of the poem! :)
